  A TRULY HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE!
  This past year I hired Christine Hossack and her company Property Hunters in Windsor, Ontario to manage my rental properties in the area, 48 units in total. I must say that I would not recommend using her services to anyone that may be in the market to hire a property manager. Ms. Hossack and her company failed to provide adequate services for my properties, were consistently negligent in meeting the minimum of standards one would expect in a property management company and upon the expiration and renewal of my contract with her organization she insisted on adding a 50% lease up fee, a 35% percent fee increase for collections of rent from my tenants and a $5 per unit software fee that had no benefit to my operations. In total Ms. Hossack / Property Hunter’s were seeking fee increases of 80% from the previous year.
  
  As expected, I let Ms. Hossack go and in the following days, after her dismissal Ms. Hossack continued on in contravention of her dismissal and instructed several of my tenants to pay to Property Hunters rent in the form of E-Transfers and post-dated checks, payable to Property Hunters. At the time of the collection of rents Ms. Hossack was fully aware that she and Property Hunters were no longer authorized to collect rent as she had been previously dismissed. In total Property Hunters has taken several thousand dollars from my tenants and has instructed the tenants to hire legal counsel in order to receive a refund of the unauthorized rents collected by Ms. Hossack and Property Hunters. My hope is that Ms. Hossack will return the monies owed to the tenants as her holding their rents leaves them in arrears on their rent which Ms. Hossack and Property Hunters willfully and negligently took from them.
  
  To conclude, if you are in the market to hire a property management company I would advise that you keep your distance from this organization. I am extremely disappointed in the way they have treated myself and am frustrated and appalled at the way they mislead innocent tenants.
